Dawakin Tofa Education Trust Fund Distributes Learning Materials To Schools

Learning materials worth Hundreds thousands of Naira were distributed to some schools by Dawakin Tofa education trust fund (DEFUND) in a colourful ceremony held at GSS Grammar Dawakin Tofa with all the invited guests in attendance.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the trust fund Dr. Ameer Abdulazeez announced that education deserves collective contribution as government alone cannot cover everywhere due to population and other factors that are becoming an obstacles in managing the sector.

He added that ” DETFUND would continue to mobilise the general public so as to engage in the people oriented contribution towards the development of education across the local government area with helping hands, and we are certain that in the near future, education would continue to receive bumper treatment with optimum results”. He concluded.

Similarly, the chief press secretary to the Kano state governor Malam Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa announced that education is one of the top priorities of governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and with the public participation, the sector would become more progressive and well managed across the state.

Other speakers include a representative from the state’s ministry of education, SUBEB, civil societies, education stakeholders and the representative of the Dawakin Tofa District Head who called on well meaning citizens to participate fully for the development of education no matter how little it might be.

The items distributed include 1000 20 leaves exercise books, 1000 40 leaves exercise , 500 register, 500 record book, 700 stickers and Chalks, while there were other interventions carried by the Trust fund which clearly indicates that Dawakin Tofa education trust fund would become an exemplary among other trust funds.

Speaking to our correspondent, Malam Musa Mudi, a reporter with Express Radio disclosed that Dawakin Tofa academic forum is one of the most formidable non-governmental association that is seriously working selflessly towards the development of education at both levels, where he commended the leadership of the trust fund for steering the affairs of the organisation without bias.
