Nigerian Institute for Cultural Deplomacy (ICD) on Sunday condemned the gruesome murder of Miss Deborah Emmanuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto for an alledge blasphemy.
Chief Dickson Omoregie, Country Director of the institute made the condemnation in a statement signed and made available to newsmen.
Omoregie said noted the fragile peaceful atmosphere inherent in the country and recreated the act by fanatists.
He therefore seek justice against the act, adding that prosecution of the culprit would serve as deterrence against reoccurrence of such dastardly act.
The country director stated that the nation state adopted legal system as a means of providing justice to all, cautioning religious adherents against using their religious norms in handling issues.
According to him, Nigeria is a secular nation so people should not use their religious injunctions as means of justice.
