Defence Chief Seeks Quick Rehabilitation Of Roads For Enhanced Operations

Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa has called on the Federal Ministry of Works to support the military by constructing and rehabilitating strategic roads across the country. This move aims to enhance military operations, particularly in the northern region.

During a visit to the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, in Abuja, General Musa highlighted the strong connection between a reliable road network and successful military operations. He explained that poor road conditions can hinder military efforts and increase personnel vulnerability.

In response, Minister Umahi praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s focus on defence and security, particularly in the fight against terrorism. He pledged to collaborate with the military to identify critical routes for defence operations and address the necessary improvements.
