Dikko sworn in as Katsina gov

 

The winner of the March 18, 2023, governorship election in Katsina State, Dr Dikko Radda has been sworn in as Governor of the state.

The inauguration took place today at the Muhammadu Dikko Township Stadium, Katsina.

The 52-year-old governor defeated Senator Yakubu Danmarke of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had earlier threatened to file a suit to challenge the victory of Dikko.

Dikko and his deputy, Faruk Lawal Jobe, took the oath of office administered by the State’s Chief Judge, Danladi Abubakar between 10:40 am – 10:45 am, in the presence of the former governor, Aminu Bello Masari, and his deputy, Muntari Lawal.
