By Amgbare Ekaunkumo, Yenagoa

The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) South-South Vice President, Comrade Clement Etiefa, has commended Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, for implementing transformative reforms that have improved the welfare of local government workers.

He described the appointment of RDA executives as a strategic move to strengthen the link between workers and political leadership, urging them to promote peace and cooperation.

Etiefa also lauded Bayelsa NULGE President, Comrade Singer ThankGod, for his dedication to workers’ welfare and encouraged continued commitment to their needs.

In his remarks, ThankGod urged the RDA executives to prioritise worker welfare through dialogue, noting the state’s achievements in promotions and payment of arrears under labour-friendly policies. He emphasised loyalty and proactive engagement with management to ensure workers fully benefit from government initiatives.
