DPR, in Taraba State sealed 3 Petrol stations for Operating without License & Various Offenses

By Danzumi Ishaku, Jalingo.

Operation Controller, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Jalingo field office, Bature, said the filling stations were shut down for offences ranging from operating without license and redundancy and inactivity.

Briefing newsmen after a surveillance exercise of all petrol stations across the state, Bature said the DPR will no longer condone any infractions by marketers.

He condemned the attitudes of some oil and gas marketers, who indulge in diverting and smuggling petroleum products to the neighbouring Republic of Cameroon.

He urged perpetrators to desist and source alternative means of livelihood as the department has put in place measures to checkmate such ills.

The Controller who asked the marketers to adhere strictly to the rules of the business said the department has resolved to ensure total compliance with the stipulated regulations and guidelines by all the industry players,

Bature also stressed the importance of the e-station registration, saying a total of one hundred and ten stations have registered on the e-station portal in the state.
