DSS Rearrest Sowore In Court After Hours of Standoff

By Williams Anuku Abuja

After a long standoff between operatives of Department of State Service ( DSS ) and Sowore in an attempt to rearrest him in court , his Lawyer , Femi Falana has voluntarily taken the activist to the Department of State Service ( DSS ) after a long standoff at the court premises.

Falana who had earlier had a brief discussion with the DSS Lawyer , Hassan Liman , accompanied Sowore out of the court room . But on getting to the gate armed security operatives who have laid siege on the premises again attempted to take him away.

At this point Falana asked Sowore to enter his car and drove him to DSS the office. But in a cat and mouse game the DSS did not trust the move by Falana . The operatives decided to block the gate preventing him from driving out .

The standoff that lasted for 15minutes came to an end when Falana managed to drive out and was chased by DSS vehicles .
