Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Gani Audu as his new Chief of Staff, aiming to enhance governance and support reform initiatives in the state.
The **Secretary to the State Government**, Musa Umar Ikhilor, confirmed the appointment, which takes effect immediately.
Audu, born on **August 18, 1969**, holds an **HND** from **Auchi Polytechnic**, a **PGD in Business Administration** from **Benson Idahosa University**, and an **M.Sc. in Intelligence and Global Security** from **Baze University** in **2024**.
Ikhilor highlighted Audu’s leadership experience, including his role as **Chairman of Etsako West Local Government** from **2004 to 2010** and as a member of the **Edo State House of Assembly** from **2015 to 2023**, making him well-suited for the role.
The appointment of **Gani Audu** is seen as a strategic move to support the Governor in executing vital reforms for the betterment of **Edo State**.
