“EFCC to Arraign Ex-Aviation Minister Sirika, Daughter, and Others Over Alleged N2.7bn Fraud”

By Milcah Tanimu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arraignment of former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, along with his daughter Fatimah and two other individuals on Thursday. They are facing charges related to an alleged N2.7 billion contract fraud discovered within the Aviation Ministry during Sirika’s tenure.

This will mark the first appearance in court for Sirika, who will stand trial before Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal High Court in Abuja alongside his co-defendants: Fatima, Jalal Hamma, and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd. The charges allege that they abused their positions to launder over N2.7 billion.

Further details on the case are expected to emerge following the court proceedings.
