Eggon news Publisher, Mathew kuju, 4 family members test positive for Covid-19

Publisher of Eggon news newspapers, a community newspaper situated in lafia, Nasarawa state capital Mathew Kuju and four of his family members  has tested positive for covid 19. 

This was disclosed in a statement sent by him to the NUJ, Correspondent Chapel WhatsApp platform today, 7, January, 2020.
He said, “Monday January 4, 2020, he took his family of six  for Covid-19 test  in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, although none of them  manifested any symptoms.”

He however said “two days later, the results came out, disclosing that four of his children  including him  are positive. Added that the five of them are still asymptomatic (without any manifest symptoms), they have since  quarantined and taking the laid down treatment.”

He therefore enjoin all to pray for them  to come out clean sooner than expected, while urging  members of the public to present themselves for routine testing, with or without any symptoms. 

He further advised colleagues  and the general public to abide by the safety protocols established by  relevant authorities, stressing that we all have responsibility in  overcoming  the pandemic in Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a country, saying Corona virus is real and is no respecter of age or status” he added.
