The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna, the Chairman of Northern CAN emphasized that the season—which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience and willingness to sacrifice for God—is a timely reminder for both leaders and citizens to demonstrate renewed faith, unity, and responsibility toward the nation.
He stated that, in this spirit, Northern CAN is urging those in positions of authority, particularly political leaders, to make double sacrifices to secure Nigeria, just as Muslims offer sacrifices in obedience to God during Sallah.
