Eighteen Traditional Titles Turbaned By Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar 111

During the ceremony, the Sultan said little is known about some other titles that came into being or adopted from other Emirates or Colonial invention which were appointed by the Sultans, Emirs, District heads or Village heads in order to assist them in running the affairs of their respective domains.

Those turbaned are the Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as Jekada, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman as Dan Amar, Professor Ahmad Tijjani as Kayayen Sarkin Musulmi, Alhaji Namadina AbdurRahman as Taliban Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Nature as Dokaji of Sokoto, Alhaji Mustapha Garba as Dandarman Sokoto, Alhaji Musa Bashar as Mayanan Sokoto and Alhaji Faruk Ahmad as Danmadamin Sokoto.

Others are Alhaji Mai’akwai Muazu Lamido as Sarkin Gabas of Sokoto, AbdsSamad Dasuki as Santuraki, Aminu Bala as Dan Iya, Mukhtar Bello Maigona, Alhaji Dahiru Abbas as Sarkin Gandu, Alhaji Sada Bello S/Sudan as Marafan Yan Sarkin, Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar 111 as Cigari, Alhaji Haliru Maccido as Danruwatau, Alhaji Jelani Aliyu MFR as Barden Sokoto and Alhaji Aminu Buhari Galadima as Danmaliki.

The Sultan instructed them to perform according to the titles conferred on them and as well to respect members of the the society, reminding them that it because of these people they presently turbaned to lead.
