EKO NAFEST 2022: Kogi Bags Best Entrepreneurial State Award

Kogi State has been selected by the National Festival for Arts and Culture (EKO NAFEST 2022) as the best entrepreneurial state in this year’s festival.

In a release signed by the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Gabriel Edicha and made available to the Press in Lokoja said this was announced at the closing ceremony of the event at Onikan stadium, Lagos on Sunday, 13th November 2022.

Kogi State entered for six competitive events in this year’s event, namely, Traditional Board Game, Indigenous fabrics and fashion parade, Children’s music and dance, Drama (musical), Children’s essay writing and Archery.

The state contingent gave a good account of themselves in all the events.

It would be recalled that in 33rd and 34th editions of NAFEST in Jos, Plateau State and  Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Kogi State was the most enterprising and best costumed team, respectively.

This year’s EKO NAFEST with the theme ‘Culture and peaceful coexistence’ ended with Lagos State as the overall winner.
