Emir of Kano Advocates Thorough Candidate Evaluation for Police Academy Admission

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, has issued a strong recommendation to the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, urging them to conduct comprehensive personality assessments of candidates before granting them admission into the prestigious institution.

During a courtesy visit by the commandant of the academy, Sadik Abubakar, in Kano, Mr. Bayero emphasized the importance of enlisting only those cadets who possess exemplary character. He stressed that this cautious approach is essential in light of the current precarious security situation in the country.

Furthermore, the Emir called upon the commandant to give preference to candidates who have received endorsements from the palace. He assured that the traditional institution has diligently screened and verified the character and conduct of such individuals.

By implementing these measures, the Emir of Kano hopes to ensure that the Nigeria Police Academy admits individuals who can make positive contributions to maintaining peace and security within the nation.
