EODU Tasks Citizenry To Authenticates Global Membership Through Data Base Registration

Members of the Egume Ome Descendants Union (EODU) have been urged to embrace data base membership registration to enhance accessibility of global world .

The National President of the Union, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Ibrahim gave the advice at the end of the year get-together of Ome Like Minds’ in Lokoja at the weekend.

Alhaji Mohammed said the world has become global village and as such members have an opportunity to get themselves connected to the global network to enable them access Internet facilities and Link up with members.

The National President noted that the Ome Like Minds globally needs to foster unity among each other to enable them attract development closer to their immediate community.

According to him, in the past has donated different kinds of computers facilities to the youths to enable them access network and help in their academic pursuit, promised to continue to do same in future.

He disclosed that development of any community depends largely on its members, called on son’s and daughters to champion a new course to fast- track infrastructural development to door step of the people.

In his remark, the President of the Association, Comrade Sunday Omale said the association has initiated sound programmes and ideas that will engender growth and development to the community and it’s environs.

Comrade Omale noted that the year 2021 has been quite challenging for the country most especially insecurity and the dwindling state of economy has negetively affected the state and the association.

The President explained that the Association has been focusing on improving members welfare of given welfare package most especially on education support and Financial assistance to the less previlleged .

He advised members to play a vital roles at ensuring peaceful cooexitence in Egume community and proffered profitable counsel on the security situations in the land.

Also speaking, a member of the association, Comrade Godwin Meliga promised a continuos support to the development of the community and appealed to members not to shy away from contributing positively to the land.

The ceremony witnessed paper presentation from Professor Moses Shuaibu from the Open University, Abuja and an Awards to distinguished personalities from other parts of the state and Egume Ome in Dekina local government area.
