Ex- Agitators accuse PAP boss of neglect

EX- Agitators and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme PAP, under the Eastern axis, has accused the interim Administrator of the programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, of gross neglect of the zone in its activities, particularly, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and some parts of Rivers State, describing the development as worrisome.

They faulted the way and manner the affairs of the programme is been ordered and deliberately sidelining and neglecting beneficiaries from the Eastern Axis.

In a press statement signed by its leader, Commander Ekpo Ubong and made available to newsmen , expressed displeasure on the gross neglect, adding that they have endured for too long without no adequate care for them from those who at the helms of affairs in the programme which is we have planned to embark on a peaceful protest against our neglect.

He warned that with the way things are going they can not accept and have decided to protest to demand for equity and fairness to all beneficiaries in the Eastern Zone.

He also expressed worry that, beneficiaries from the Eastern Zone are not feeling the impact of the programme, like their counterparts in the Central and Western Zones of the programme.

According to him, since the assumption of Dr. Dennis Otuaro in office, beneficiaries of the Eastern Zone, have not been properly carried along in the scheme of things in the programme, leaving them behind to their faith, like sheep without shepherds.

The Ex- agitators noted that, we have continuously sustained the existing peace in the Niger Delta, but we are not treated fairly. He further pointed out that, the unfair and non-inclusive treatment meted to them is unacceptable.

He lamented that, what is happening to them is disheartening under the watch of Dr. Otuaro, therefore we are embarking on a peaceful protest.
