... says all Campaigns of Calumny against Otuaro will not work

A coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators for Good Governance has warned Project Niger Delta (PND) to desist from its campaign of calumny against Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

In a statement signed by it Coordinator,  Gen. Momos Wilberforce, the coalition described PND’s recent publications against Otuaro as a device meant to distract and disrupt the peacebuilding initiatives, security, and developmental sustainability efforts made by the latter.

The coalition stated that the Presidential Amnesty Programme under Otuaro’s leadership is focused on ensuring sustainability and security for the future of the Niger Delta, and that PND’s attempts to discredit Otuaro’s endorsement by Professor Benjamin Okaba are misplaced and biased.

The coalition accused PND of trying to disunite the Ijaw people and urged them to join hands in supporting the good cause Otuaro has started.

“We urge PND to desist from their campaign of calumny and join hands with us to ensure that the core purpose for the creation of the Amnesty Programme is actualized,” the statement said.

The coalition emphasized that PND lacks the credibility to provide assessments and judgments on programmes and progress in the Niger Delta region.

“We should ignore their porous statements and finger them out for whom they are,” the statement added.

In conclusion, the coalition reiterated its commitment to promoting peace, security, and sustainability in the Niger Delta region and urged all stakeholders to support Otuaro’s efforts towards achieving this goal.
