FG calls for an end to discrimination against IDPs

The Federal Government has called for an end to all forms of discrimination against Internally Displaced Person’s, IDPs as it advised the public to help them financially and to be kind towards show kindness .

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammed Ali Pate, who was represented by the Director of Special Project, Dr. Charles Nzelu, made this call during the distribution of drugs and essential health commodities to IDPs Camps in Kuchigoro, Lifecamp and Durumi IDPs Camp, Area 1 , Abuja respectively.

Dr. Nzelu reiterated the governments preparedness toward advancing accessibility to free drug and other health commodities in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration.

However , he advised the authorities of the 2 IDPs Camp to take advantage of the Federal Government’s gesture to use the Drug and other Valuable health commodities judiciously for the benefit of the Internally Displaced Peoples.

He promised the government’s continuous efforts toward creating an enabled environment for its citizenry through Health Care Services.

In response , a member of the Kuchingoro IDP Camp, Mr. Luka Yathuma commended the Federal Government’s healthcare initiative at a critical time in the lives of the displaced persons, as he pleaded for more intervention to reduce the sufferings of the IDPs.

Also, the Woman Leader of the Durumi IDP Camp Mrs.Liyatu Ayuba appreciated both the Federal government and the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, for coming to their aids and promised to distribute the medical commodities judiciously.

The drugs & essential health commodities which are worth Millions of Naira, were delivered respectively to each IDP’s Camp Coordinators.
