Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commended the Federal Government’s recent steps to address insecurity in Northern Nigeria, highlighting the establishment of a Joint Military Command and the launch of *Operation Fansan Yamma* as decisive actions to combat terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping in the region.

Speaking at a joint meeting of the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) and the Northern Traditional Rulers Council held on Monday in Kaduna, Governor Sani applauded President Bola Tinubu for intensifying the campaign against criminal activities in the North.

“Let me use this opportunity to commend our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for reinvigorating the fight against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements in the North,” Governor Sani said. “The establishment of a Joint Military Command and launching of *Operation Fansan Yamma* are clear demonstrations of the Federal Government’s commitment to tackling the multidimensional challenges of insecurity.”

Governor Sani extended a warm welcome to his fellow governors, traditional leaders, and Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, acknowledging their dedication to fostering peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity in the region. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of H.E. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, and His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, the Forum and the Traditional Rulers Council would serve as effective platforms for addressing security and developmental issues in the North.

“We must all work together to achieve a secure, peaceful, and prosperous North,” Governor Sani urged, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to realize this vision.

Governor Sani concluded by expressing hope for fruitful deliberations, underscoring the collective commitment of Northern leaders to fostering stability and progress for their communities.
