Finance Director Murdered in Bullion Van Ambush in Ogun State

The Director of Finance and Accounts for Governor Dapo Abiodun, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, was fatally shot during a robbery while returning from a bank with a homemade bullion van. Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, confirmed the incident, revealing that the robbers, armed with a sledgehammer, attacked the van on the NNPC Bridge near Kuto, Abeokuta. Oyekanmi was rushed to the state hospital but pronounced dead. Governor Abiodun expressed shock and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, instructing security agencies to intensify efforts.
