Mrs. Remi Tinubu, the First Lady, has extended her condolences to the Saraki family during a visit ahead of the funeral of their late mother, Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, in Lagos.

Visiting the Saraki children on Tuesday, Mrs. Tinubu conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s permission for her visit as a gesture of solidarity and love towards the grieving family.

“We are one family. You know that politics aside, Mr. President will always look out for you. Mama lived a good life. I know it hurts so much but we thank God for the good life she lived,” Mrs. Tinubu remarked, according to a statement from her media aide, Busola Kukoyi.

Senator Bukola Saraki, acknowledging Mrs. Tinubu’s visit, described her as a compassionate and caring person who always sees the broader perspective.

“You always see the bigger picture all the time. I know you are a passionate woman who is full of compassion. I know you are here with the knowledge of the President. I thank you very much,” Saraki expressed gratefully.

The visit included prayers offered in both Christian and Islamic traditions for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Saraki’s soul and for the well-being of President Tinubu and the nation.

Present at the gathering were the late Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki’s children, including former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mrs. Tope Edu, and Laolu Saraki, alongside other members of the extended family.
