FMWH Promotes Public Participation for Federal Infrastructure

By Jabiru Hassan, Kano.

It is gratifying to note that the Federal ministry of works is working selflessly to bring in, the general public into the protectkon of infrastructural facilities executed by the federal government across the country for the benefits of the people and the forthcoming younger generations.

It could be recalled that the minister of works, Senator, Engineer Dr. Nweze David Umahi,FNSE, ,FNATE,CON has canvassed his ministry’s support to ensure that all executed federal infrastructures are being protected by the general public which is a very good foresight.

Based on what the FMW is trying to bring out and to be adopted by the public, the people’s participation in the protection of the government property would enable such projects to last longer than expectations especially at present when the cost of execution of projects is always getting higher almost everyday.

Many thanks be to the special adviser on media to the Honourable Minister of works,Honourable Barrister Orji Uchenna Orji for reaching prominent media organisatiins with this new development that would certainly promote the public participation in the protection of government projects at both rural and urban settlements across the 6-geo political zones in Nigeria.

It is also important to residents to form some local surveillance committees that would enforce the full version of the property protection so as to block the activities saboteurs from vandalising the infrastructures of any kind with optimum result.
