FUL Sacks 4 Lecturers Over Misconduct and Sexual Harassment Allegations in Kogi

The Governing Council of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has approved the dismissal of four lecturers following allegations of examination misconduct and sexual harassment.

The decision was made during the Council’s second meeting under the leadership of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba. The Council commended the university management for adhering to due process during the investigation into the allegations.

In his remarks, Senator Ndoma-Egba emphasized that the Council would not tolerate any form of unethical behavior within the institution.

Pending Cases of Misconduct

The Council urged the university to expedite action on pending misconduct cases, particularly one involving the Faculty of Science, which has garnered attention in the media. It reiterated its commitment to addressing all misconduct transparently and ensuring accountability.

Encouraging Students to Speak Out

The Council also encouraged students to report any incidents of harassment or misconduct, assuring them of a safe and supportive environment to voice their concerns.
