Residents of Osun State have been enjoined to desist from any act that may trigger fire outbreak in the state.
The General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency, Engr. Tajudeen Adabanija, gave this admonition in his office at Osogbo, while answering questions from journalists.
According to him, the residents of Osun must abstain from any act that may cause fire outbreak such as incessant burning of bush, buying and keeping of petrol in the house, carelessness in handling of cooking gas, refusal to unplug unused electronic appliances( both in the office and at homes),gas leakages, irregular electrical supplies, to mention but a few, that can cause fire incidence.
Engr, Adabanija stressed further that the lives and properties of the citizens of Osun is paramount and important to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
He therefore urged all and sundry to take cognizance of the fact that the prevailing dry season is notorious for diverse fire disasters and take necessary precautionary measures to prevent it, adding ” prevention is better than cure”.
