GOC 8 Division Sokoto Visits Governor Ahmad Aliyu

The General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army Sokoto Command, Major General T. S Mutkut while on a visit to the governor promised total stop to banditry in the state.

He said with the recent happening in some parts of the state where bandits went ahead and killed scores in Raka, Gwadabawa and Illela, they were with the governor to confirm to him they are going to put a fullstop to the wanton killings adding that it was a matter of some days.

“We are going to make sure they paid for what they have done, it must come to a total stop and never again”.

He then used the opportunity to symphatise wirh the people of Sokoto over the loss of such lives.

Responding the governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto promised all logistic support needed to end menace called banditry.

He said the trend affecting the state for past eight years has caused the loss of great number of people coupled with crippling economy mostly in the eastern part of the state.

The governor similarly assured people of the state that God willing, peace shall reign again.

Meanwhile governor Ahmad Aliyu promised to provide all the materials that can make Shehu Shagari College of Education more conducive.

This followed the cortesy visit by the management of Shehu Shagari College of Education led by acting Provost Umar Tambari who enumerated problems bedevilling the progress of the Institution.

The governor also assured them that all that has been in the institutions of the government would be historic.

Some of the problems include a]rconditioners,furnitures and drainages among others
