“Gombe: Minor victimized by 20-year-old perpetrator in heinous act”

A 20-year-old man, Babangida Isah, hailing from Tike Quarters, Bajoga, in the Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State, has been apprehended by the Police Command. The arrest comes in response to allegations of him sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl.

ASP Mahid Abubakar, the state Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that the victim’s father, Yahaya Isah, approached the police and lodged a complaint. According to Yahaya, the suspect enticed his daughter to a secluded area behind an Almajiri school, where he proceeded to violate her.

Upon receiving the report, the authorities promptly arrested the accused, Babangida Isah, who subsequently admitted to the crime during interrogation.

To gather evidence, both the suspect and the victim were subjected to medical examinations at a hospital. The case is now set to be presented before the court for further proceedings.
