Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has expressed sadness over the demise of the former Military Administrator of Katsina State, Col. Joseph Akaagerger rtd who passed on at the age of 69 years.
In a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the Governor described, Col. Akaagerger rtd, as a patriotic Nigerian who served as Military Administrator of Katsina State, stressing that the deceased gave his very best in the course of his service to the nation and Benue State in particular.
Rev Fr Alia, noted that as a Parliamentarian who represented Benue North East Senatorial District (Zone A), the late Senator equally proved his quality in politics, business and community service.
The Governor who regrets his death, stated that the state will greatly miss his contributions, particularly his counsel and engagements as an elder statesman and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Elders Forum in the state.
He prays God to console his immediate family, associates and the entire people of Benue State and Nigerians as a whole. He implores them to be consoled by the legacies he left behind and build on it to honor his memory.
The Governor prayed to God to grant the soul of late Senator Akaagerger eternal rest.
