Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson denounced Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for accusing him of stirring Ijaw land racial disharmony.
The Governor’s claim was made available to reporters on Sunday in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Fidelis Soriwei.
According to the outgoing governor, Wike used the disputed oil wells between the two states as a subterfuge to build disunity and cover up his deliberate policy of underdeveloping Ijaw communities.
The governor said Wike’s remarks about the disputed oil wells were reckless, childish and uncivilized with an evil intention to attack age-long bonds between brothers.
Dickson warned his counterpart not to look at Bayelsa as his captured political realm, and rejected the claims of the governor of the Rivers over the wells of his state-owned Soku crude.
