Gov Eno sends 27 commissioners,SA nominees to A”Ibom Assembly

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom on Tuesday submitted 27 names to the state assembly to be screened and cleared as Commissioners and Special Advisers.

This was coming one month after he dissolved the state executive council largely made up of commissioners he inherited from his predecessor and political godfather Mr Udom Emmanuel.

The eagerly awaited list comprised of nine of the dissolved state executive council members, eighteen new names and is made up of twenty four men and three women.

Those making a return include Uko Udom, Nsikan Nkan, Bob Emem, Iniobong Ekong, Dr Offiong Offor, Ini Ememobong, Eno Ibanga, Frank Archibong and Gen Koko Essien (Rtd).

 

New names include veteran sports journalist Paul Basey, Ikoidem Ekong, former ALGON chairman Iniobong Robson, former National Assembly members Henry Archibong, Aniekan Umanah and Nsikak Ekong.

 

Others include former council chairmen Anthony Luke and Emem Ibanga, Emmanuel John, Inibehe Silas, Ubong Essien, Frank Ekpenyong, Ubo Uduot, Ubong Inyang, Anietie Udofia, Kufre Udosen, Ekanem Ekerete and a former state assembly member,Alice Ekpenyong.

 

The Governor in his letter to House Speaker Mr Udeme Otong commended the Assembly for their supportive role to his administration and solicited for their speedy consideration of the list inorder not to delay governance in the state any further.
