Gov. Ishaku of Taraba inauguration Members of the State Judicial Commission of Inquiry.

Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku says the pursuance of peace remain a cardinal point of his administration.

Governor Ishaku stated this during the inauguration of Chairman and Members of the State Judicial Commission of Inquiry between the Tivs and their neighbours in the State held at the Government House Jalingo.

He said the inauguration of the Committee is another genuine effort of the State Government to broker peace in Southern Taraba and other parts of the State.

Governor Darius Ishaku expressed sadness over lingering Crisis between Tiv and their neighbours despite his many developmental strides and urged them to maintain peace.

Ishaku who was worried over the impact of the Crisis on Agriculture despite honest attempt by the Federal, Benue and Taraba State Government emphasized that no society develop without peace.

He extolled the quality of Members of the Committee made up of esteem professionals and expressed confidence that they would do a good job.

He promised to give them full support for them to carry out the task ahead of them.

Commenting,Chairman of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry Justice Kumai Bayang Akaars thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for having faith in them to serve in the State.

He pledged the resolve of the Committee to know the root cause of the incessant disturbances that has rocked the State for quite some time and sought God’s wisdom for them to Carry out the task ahead of them.

The Chairman pleaded with those that would be giving their presentation to do so with a sense of Justice.

Members of the Committee are Justice Emmanuel Garba,Justice Ambrose Mamadi,Barrister Danjuma Rindam,Professor Rotzak Gofwen and Professor Istifanus Zabadi

Others are Hamidu Audu Esq as Secretary while Emeka Okoro Esq is to serve as Counsel of the Commission.

The Governor gave the Commission three months to submit their report.
