Gov Ortom pledges not to interfere with affairs of Judicial, Legislative Arms

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has restated his administration’s resolve not to interfere with affairs of the Judicial and Legislative Arms of Government in the course of their official functions to ensure their Independence. 

The Governor who made this disclosure at a new year dinner organized by the Benue’s first family for members of the executive, the legislative and the Judicial arms of government as well as other appointees  at the Government house Makurdi, implored them to work together in harmony to take the state to an enviable height.

Ortom sued for cooperation from relevant arms of government and people to enable the present administration implement its policies and programs, averring that the first family organized the event to appreciate God for taking them safely into the new year.

The Governor drew the attention of the people to the portion of the Benue State anthem which says “though the giant may be on their way to hinder, God will surely give us victory”.

Ortom who highlighted difficulties his administration encountered over the years, urged his appointees and others in position of trust to discharge their roles diligently for faster development of the state.
