Gov Ortom Swears in New Commissioners, Special Advisers, Warns them Against Fraudulent Acts, Others

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has charged the newly sworn in Commissioners and Special Advisers to sustain the leadership qualities and attributes which accounted for their appointments.
The Governor who gave the charge at the Government House Makurdi on Thursday shortly after performing the ceremony said they came in at the time the state and country were experiencing economic, social and security challenges, stressing that there are high expectations from them to enhance Government’s capacity to surmount the challenges.
Ortom admonished them to strive hard to meet the vision of a new Benue as well as that of the People’s Democratic party, PDP, ahead of the 2023  General Elections.
The Governor who urged them to serve with the fear of God, cautioned them against undue pressure and fraudulent acts such as contract paddling or an attempt to subvert extant law for pecuniary gains.
He further warned that he won’t defend anyone who is involved in any unwholesome acts , and wishes the appointees a successful tenure of office.
Responding on behalf of the Commissioners, Dr Kester Kyenge, for the Commissioners and Mr Richard Ujege for the Special Advisers applauded the Governor for finding them worthy of service, even as they pledged their loyalty to his administration.
The new Commissioners are; Dr Kester Kyenge, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural resources, Engr Saachia Aungwa, Works and Housing, Mr Williams Agbatse Industry and Cooperatives, Mr Michael Inalegu, Information.
Others included; Benjamin Agber, Trade and Investment, Dr Jane Aja, Science and Technology, Dr Saawuan Tarnongu, Education, Teryima Nguher , Youths and Sports.
The Special Advisers are; Mike Adio, , Primary Education, Richard Ujege water and environment, Aondover Adegnuhagh, works and transport Joshua Ogbole, Revenue and Taxation, Otse Otokpa Secondary and tertiary education.
