Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on O-Meal, Alhaja Folake Olaniyan has commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his complete commitment to the continued implementation and improvement of O’Meal project in the state.

The SSA made this commendation while answering questions from newsmen in her office on Wednesday.

Alhaja Olaniyan stated that, Governor Oyetola has been contributing to the development of the agency in all ramifications as his efforts towards the  promotion of the Primary School pupils in the state cannot be over emphasised.

The SSA said with the governor’s commitment to the O’Meal project, the programme has achieved and surpassed it’s objectives of increasing schools enrollment in the entire state.

Alhaja Olaniyan said, “Mr Governor has done well for his complete support to the O’Meal project in Osun which has contributed to increased enrollment which was not the only intention of the state government but reduction of poverty as well as empowerment.

” The food for the pupils across the state is prepared in a healthy and neat environment with some women in the state empowered to serve as the food vendors who are well kitted with modern cooking utensils and bowls.

“All these cannot be achieved without the unflinching support of Mr Governor who has been supporting us in providing nutritious and healthy meals for the pupils in the primary schools which has a direct link to mental development and eradication of poverty.

” And that is why I described Governor Oyetola as a listening, God fearing, Caring and Workaholic leader in which other state governors should emulate him”.

The Osun O’Meal boss however called on the federal government not to relent in contributing their own share of counterpart fund to the state to enhance productivity.
