Gov. Sule Names his Twins after President Buhari/Sen. Almakura as Dr. Akabe, Speaker Balarabe, Sen.Adamu, Lafia Emir, others attend event


Nasarawa State Governor Engr.Abdullahi Sule has named his Twins Mohammed Shamsudeen reflecting President Muhammadu Buhari and Umar Faruq reflecting the immediate past Governor of the state and Senator representing Nasarawa South Umar Tanko Almakura.
The naming ceremony of the Twins delivered by the Governor’s second wife Hajiya Farida Abdullahi Sule took place at Emir palace Gudu, Akwanga LGA of the state today Tuesday.
Gov.Sule said he named them after President Mohammadu Buhari and Sen.Umar Tanko Almakura for recognition and respect he have for the two leaders.
He promised to continued to champion the quest for better education for the entire children in the state.
Speaking to newsmen in an interview the Speaker of the state assembly Alh.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who led other members to the ceremony prayed God to give the twins sound health and for them to bring more blessing to the family and the state at large.
While describing children as special gift from God he urged parents to give special attention to the education and upbringing of their children to build an egalitarian society.
The State Number Three Citizen reaffirmed his determination to ensure that the institution he is heading continued to make legislation that will protect children from all forms of abuses and guaranteed best education for children in the state.
He lamented how some parents subjected and abandoned their children to street hocking and begging and called for collective efforts to end the menace.
The Emir of Lafia Rtd Justice Sidi Bage who described twins as blessings prayed God to give them good health,prosperity and make them grow to be good citizens in the society.
The naming ceremony conducted by Mallam Mohammed  Awal Musa Dandaura the Chief Imam of Gudi featured special prayers for the children,leaders,the state and the country at large.
The colourful event had in attendance the state Deputy Governor Dr.Emmanuel Akabe and Sen.Abdullahi Adamu,among other dignitaries just as praise singers had field days.
