Governor Fintiri Lauds Atiku Center, Radio Home Schooling Program By Atiku

Governor Ahmadu umaru Funtiri of Adamawa state has commended Atiku center for leadership and entrepreneur development for initiating a home schooling program through transactional radio instruction

The Governor who was represented by his deputy chief Crowther Seth made the commendation at the official launching of home schooling through transactional Radio instruction aimed at ensuring learning despite social distancing to curb the spread of covid 19.

The programme which targets over five hundred thousand (500,000) learners across Adamawa and Gombe state is an option as part of it’s social responsibility to promotes learning amidst global fight against corona virus.

The program which is a 30 minutes program will be aired on Radio Gotel every Tuesday by 4:pm,repeat broadcast on every Thursday, as well as progress FM Gombe State.

The Governor noted that education remains the cardinal objective of his administration hence it is committed to partner with any organization that works for the promotion of education in the state.

Governor Fintiri reiterated that as soon as the pandemic is over other Government policies on education will fully be implemented.

Speaking via live zoom network the former vice president of Nigeria also founder AUN Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,said the initiative will go a long way in strengthening the educational sector thereby ensuring qualitaty education to all Nigerians.
Atiku maintained that despite the challenges of covid 19 Pandemic learning must take place and thereafter called on all and sundry to invest in education.Atiku noted that, by giving quality and equal education to children especially ophans and the vulnerable will reinvent the destiny of children in Nigeria.

The President of AUN proffersor Dawn Denkle represented by Professor Abba Tahir lauded the program saying AUN will continue to partner with any organization that identifies with any less privileged person.

The Deputy Chief of party Dr Grace Malgwi while speaking on transactional radio instruction said consultations were made with parents ,head teachers, education secretaries and traditional leaders on the need for children to enroll in the program.

Other speakers including representative of commissioner of Education, universal basic education and BESDA ,lauded the initiative and expressed their readiness for partnership.
