No fewer than six iron waste Searchers, popularly known as Mebola” were on Tuesday arrested at Ganaja village in Ajaokuta local government area for an alleged conspiracy, house breaking and theft.

Luck, however, ran out of the victim, the gang leader on Tuesday afternoon when he allegedly broke into a bakery house, adjacent to Eid-el prayer ground along with his conspirators and carted away some valuable property.
An eye witness told our correspondent that the ring leader successfully loaded his conspirators carriers/trucks with Air conditioners and aluminium-pans for bread baking and departed to unknown destinations.
It was gathered that when the culprit successfully loaded his carrier with a KVA generator, neatly covered with empty bags of cement and in an attempt to exit from the premises of the bakery, he was interrupted.
“Mallam! stop. What are you carrying?” In persuasion of further interrogation of the contents of his covered items, he abandoned his load load and took to his heels.
The shouts Ole! Ole!, thief – thief by his interrogator heralded many young men and boys who gave the thief bomber – to – bomber pursuit till he was arrested along Nyama-Nyama Street while trying to jump on a moving motorcycle.
The state vigilante men in Ganja later saved the life of the victim as others escaped to an known destinations.
The commandant of the group, Mallam Sumaila, however, promised to hand over the matter to the police as soon as they have completed the investigation at their level.
