Gunmen kidnap General Hospital’s CMD, two others in Ondo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Chief Medical Director, CMD, of the General Hospital in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The kidnappers who laid ambush on the CMD, Dr. Olufemi Adeogun also abducted a record officer with the hospital, Mrs. Foluke Ajibola and another yet to be identified victim.

The incident was said to have happened on the bad portion of Owani/Idoani road in the southern senatorial district of the state.

According to sources, the CMD’s driver was shot in the arm but was said to have escaped before he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

The victims were said to be on their way from Idoani to Owo when the incident occurred.

When contacted, the Police Public Relationships Officer, PPRO, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident.

According to Ikoro, efforts are on to rescue the victims as security agents are already combing the forest within the area.
