HON. AMOBI COMMENDS TINUBU ON FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL

LAMENTS INFRASTRUCTURAL DECAY IN ISIUKWATO/UMUNNEOCHI FED. CONSTITUENCY.

The member representing Isiukwato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Abia State, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his show of leadership acumen, with the bold removal of fuel subsidy.

Hon. Amobi who made this view in a chat with The Mace, in Abuja recently, said the 10th National Assembly should compliment the action of President Bola Tinubu with laws that will standardize and protect the people, so that the system can flow to their advantage
Hon.

Amobi who recently defeated the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon Nkiruka Onyejeocha, said the removal of fuel subsidy has solved 70% of Nigeria’s problems as subsidy was nothing but an organized crime being perpetrated and enjoyed by the cabal in the oil and gas industry, at the expense of the masses.

According to Hon. Amobi, who has pledged to serve his people with sincerity:” President Tinubu’s action will remain memorable in the history of Nigeria, and it is better for Nigerians who will soon start reaping the dividends of this bold step that leaders in the past refused to take for fear of stepping on toes. The action will further liberalize the oil sector and encourage investors to invest in modular refineries, hence breaking the long existing monopoly in the oil and gas industry. There should be harmonious relationship between the Legislature and the Executive in the name of good governance. There is also urgent need for the ruling party: All Progressives Congress (APC) to show genuine patriotism by putting forward credible candidates for the leadership of the 10th National Assembly”

The first time lawmaker -elect, who promised to embark on projects that will unite the people irrespective of political divides further lamented the state of infrastructural decay in Isiukwato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, as there are no roads and electricity in most of the communities, with enormous poverty in the rural areas.

He specifically mentioned that in this modern era, they do not have road and electricity in Ntu his home town, which is made up of about 24 communities, while schools are also abandoned.
He expressed optimism that the new government with the support of federal and state lawmakers will join hands together, to ensure rapid development, but regretted that Abia State has not made progress in development as a result of bad leadership, that focused on personal gains rather than serving the interests of the people.

Hon Amobi reinteriated his commitment to nation building, which he believed is a joint task that every lawmaker of the 10th National Assembly must start from his or her Constituency level.
