House in rowdy session as members demands that president address country’s insecurity

Members house of representatives on Tuesday called for the president to appear before the house so as to address the issue of insecurity in the country.

Earlier, Hon Satomi Ahmad moved a motion calling for State of emergency but was amended by Hon Jahar who called the president to appear before the house and address the house on the steps he is taking address insecurity in the country.

Hon. Tobi Okechukwu, PDP Enugu adding his voice said the citizens should be given licenses to carry amunition but the motion was not supported.

The speaker condemned Borno killings but said that inviting the president is not necessary as it is also not wise for the president to disclose the measures he is taking to curb insecurity.

Hon Ado dogowa adding his voice said security is a business of all but also discouraged members on demanding the president to appear before the house.

The house later went into close door meeting as the session became rowdy.
