How to address Out-of-School children for brighter future – CDF

Education is not just a fundamental human right, but also a cornerstone in enhancing individual empowerment and societal good and progress; founder, Caleb Danladi Foundation (CDF), Caleb Danladi Bako, has reiterated.

Mr. Bako, a visionary and philanthropist with passion in education support initiatives, however observed with dismay that millions of children around the world are denied this rights, trapped in a cycle of poverty, ignorance, and marginalization.

In a statement he personally issued and signed on Monday, Danladi Bako advised that “As we strive for a better future, addressing the plight of out-of-school children should becomes imperative”.

According to him “Education serves as the catalyst for personal growth, economic prosperity, and social development. “It equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges, pursue their dreams, and contribute meaningfully to society.

He however expressed believe that beyond individual benefits, education promotes economic growth, reduces inequality, and fosters social cohesion.

“By investing in education, we invest in the future, laying the solid foundation for a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable world, by extension, positively affect youth social vice”, he noted.

He also expressed dismay that despite progress in global education efforts, millions of children remain out of school, particularly in low-in come countries and conflict-affected regions.

“Barriers such as poverty, gender discrimination, child labor, disability, and displacement deprive these children of their right to education.
“The consequences of being out of school are profound, perpetuating cycles of poverty, limiting opportunities, and undermining future prospects”, he further stressed.

Danladi Bako, is of the strong believe that “Addressing the issue of out-of-school children is not just a moral imperative but a strategic investment in the future of humanity, in all ramifications.

“The Caleb Danladi Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Nigeria, amply committed to addressing the challenges faced by out-of-school children and promoting inclusive education”, it stated.

With a vision of world where every child has access to quality education, “The foundation works tirelessly to empower marginalized communities and break the cycle of poverty through education. Through its various programs and initiatives, the foundation aims to:

In providing access to education,
“The foundation works to identify and reach out to out-of-school children, particularly in underserved communities, and provide them with access to quality education.

This, he further stated “Includes establishing community schools, providing scholarships, and supporting initiatives to remove barriers to education.

Also in promoting girls child education, the foundation,
“Recognizing the importance of girls child education in achieving gender equality and empowering communities”, prioritized initiatives aimed at promoting girls’ enrollment and retention in schools.
“By addressing cultural norms, providing mentorship, and creating safe learning environments, “The foundation also seeks to break down barriers to girls’ education and empower them to fulfill their potential.

In area of enhancing Learning opportunities, “The foundation is committed to improving the quality of education by providing teacher training, educational resources, and infrastructure support to schools.

Indeed, by equipping teachers with the necessary skills and resources, the foundation also enhanced learning outcomes and ensured that children received a quality education that prepared them for the future”, it stated.

Empowering communities, it stated that “Beyond formal education, the foundation empowers communities to take ownership of their children’s education and become advocates for change”.
“Through community engagement, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building initiatives, the foundation mobilizes communities to prioritize education, invest in children’s future, and create a supportive environment for learning”, he stressed.

Looking ahead, the Caleb Danladi Foundation remains committed to expanding its reach and impact, scaling up its efforts to address the root causes of out-of-school children and promote inclusive education as the foundation plans.

Expand Outreach, CDF “Reach out to more marginalized communities, particularly in remote areas and conflict-affected regions, to identify and support out-of-school children.

It as well “Strengthens partnerships by collaborating with government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to leverage resources, share best practices, and advocate for policy changes that promote inclusive education.

“By so doing, monitors and evaluate impact areas, continuously monitor and evaluate the impact of its programs to ensure accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in achieving its goals.

“Advocate for Change, especially for policy reforms and increased investment in education at the local, national, and international levels to address the systemic barriers to education and ensure that every child has access to quality education.

“The future of our world depends on the education of our children. By addressing the issue of out-of-school children and promoting inclusive education, we can unlock the potential of millions of young minds, break the cycle of poverty, and build a brighter future for generations to come.
