I am Ready To Meet Any Customer On Complaint Resolution, Says Ag. KEDCO MD, Yusuf.

The Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kano Electricity Distribution Plc (KEDCO) Abubakar Yusuf, has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the electricity needs of every customer on KEDCO network was swiftly attended to saying the Company generates through them.

Yusuf stated this recently, at the just concluded 3-day Customer Complaint Resolution Meeting organised by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), at Meena Events Centre, No. 6, Lodge Road, Nassarawa G.R.A, in Kano.

He said, “I am willing to meet and listen to any of my customers irrespective of their status in order to help them resolve their electricity problems because they are the reason we are in business and for us they are kings.”

The KEDCO boss further stated that, “We consider customer intimacy and responsiveness an integral part of our daily operations, therefore, attending and addressing our customers’ plights on time have always been a top priority of our company.”

Abubakar Yusuf, who disclosed that the company would not relent in its effort of carrying out routine maintenance of electricity distribution installations, urged the customers to keep close vigilance and help safeguard these installations within their communities, as spate of vandalism has been on the rise, lately.

Earlier in her remarks, Mrs Aisha Mahmud, Commissioner Consumer Affairs, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said, they were in Kano as part of their routine activities to educate and enlighten electricity customers on their rights and obligations, complaint handling procedure as well as help them resolve their complaints on the spot.

The NERC Commissioner, who stressed the need for customers to familiarise themselves with the Commission’s regulations, highlighted their obligation to be fair to all parties as part of their mission to promote an efficient power industry that meets the electricity needs of Nigerians.
