I Have No Compromise Over The Lost Of Human Lives – Bishop Kukah

While celebrating 45 years of Priesthood and 10 years as Catholic Bishop, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah in a media chat Wednesday evening, on the question of kidnapping and banditry said we are all in these and witnessing together and all we can do and are doing earnestly is to have a pallacy because is something above our powers.

“Where we are now is only the grace of God that can help us, the Soldiers, Police and all security agencies are doing their best,we can only continue to accompany them with prayers.

“But where we are now, even the worst enemy of Nigeria would never have emerging we would be where we are”.

He said it is not the time for us to put blames across but to find out what is wrong and how to look for ways to resolve it.

Bishop Kukah who partakes several times in the establishment of peaceful coexistence across the west African subregion also spoke on two things that burdens his life as the lost of human lives which he or any reasonable person cannot compromise and that one cannot allocate positions expressing these sensible areas of insecurity.

He as well spoke extensively on unemployment where he promised to remove 50,000 youths out of poverty through empowerment with free interest loan and that he is convinced it would work if things are put together, ” I am interested in human solution oriented programmes that would bring measurable change “, he averred.

The Bishop who spoke on many chapters of human security and development prays for Nigeria to becomes what it was decades ago.
