IG Flags Off 6th Training Workshop For Stakeholders On Community Policing Across The Country

Declaring the training ceremony for stakeholders from Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states open, the Inspector General of Police Muhammad Alkali Baba said the aim is to counter insurgency, banditry and all forms of ill vices that could hamper the development of country.

He said the workshop organized across the 6 political zones in the country is to strategize the inoccurrence of insecurity in the country and as well create jobs for the teaming youths.

Represented by the zone 10 AIG Abu Ahmad Sani, he said another aim is “as the internal security is well funded by the Federal Government, the security forces must therefore stand on their feet and assure the feet is carried out accordingly”.

He also spoke extensively on the approach in confronting common enemies, communication gap, exposing any planned approach by bandits and quick response to information from reliable sources.

Earlier in his welcome address, the state Commissioner of Police Muhammad Usaini Gumel congratulate Federal Government for the additional measures to curtail insurgency across the country.

He also congratulated Police Force Headquarters, Organisers especially the Department of Planning and Research and participants of the two day workshop for active participation blessing the seasoned facilitators for their readiness to impart desired knowledge on the desease called insurgency affecting all communities in the country.
