The Imam of the central Mosque, Egume, Mallam Attai Mohammed has identified lack of proper training and non monitoring of peer groups of their children as the major causes of the rising social vices and insecurity in the country.
Mallam Mohammed gave the charge at the eighth-day Fidau Prayer in respect of Late Hajia Hawawo Ibrahim, aka, Mamaa Matron held at Akpala Idoko’s compound Adumu-Egume in Dekina local government area, Kogi state.
The Imam who charged Parents and guardians to ensure adequate training of their Wards to curb social vices in the society noted that it is religiously obligatory for parents to be responsible for the upbringing of their Wards according to any religion faithful.
“Once there is proper upbringing, it will enhance reciprocal gesture of children-to- parents care whenever they are blessed like the case of our son, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Ibrahim.” he added.
He therefore enjoined religion bodies to sustain their prayers for leaders in various positions of power so as to enable them govern with fear of God towards alleviating the suffering in the land.
Mallam Mohammed also stressed the need for religion bodies to pray fervently for the restoration of peace and curbing the state of insecurity in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, special prayer was offered for the sustenance of peaceful coexistence amongst the children of Late Hawawo Ibrahim and the entire family by the Imam and other Islamic teachers.
Members of Egume Ome Descendants’ Union, Idoko Descendants and well-wishers attended the Fidau prayer.
