By Jabiru Hassan,

Dutse. The Jigawa state House of assembly has impeached its chief whip Honorable Dayyabu Shehu Gwalo Taura and the deputy majority leader, Honorable  Aliyu Madachi Kirikasamma for their gross misconduct to the assembly. In a press statement issued to newsmen in Dutse by the chief media aide to the speaker, Malam Rufa’i  Abdulkadir Zakari, the assembly also approved the suspension of four  chairmen that comprised  Auto, Dutse, Ringim and Gumel local governments for their various offenses,  which is in accordance with local government law principal cap 2012. Similarly, the Jigawa state assembly directed the ministry for local government to warn the chairmen of Gwaram  and Guri local governments  against violations of the local government administration law as the state assembly would not accept gross misconduct. In conclusion, the state assembly also  directed the ministry for local government to recall the  chairmen of Gumel, Yankwashi and Birniwa local governments earlier suspended after the completion of full investigation against them. Speaking to The roundTable  an ex-local government administrator Malam Aminu Dutse disclosed that Jigawa state govt is trying to ensure that local councils did not jump their constitutional  duties and to sanitise the expending of the public funds entrusted to them.
