Junior/Secondary/Primary Schools Teacheers Admonished dedicated To Their Responsibilities

Executive Secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board, Sokoto, Alh.Mahmuda Ahmad Wamakko represented by Director Early Child Care Development of the Board Alh Bello Garba Arkilla made the call when he led a delegation during an unscheduled visit to some schools in the state following the expiration of the second term holiday to ensure commencement of academic activities as designed by the state education authorities.

The delagation from the Board visited eleven schools in five local government areas that include Kware , Sokoto North,Yabo, Bodinga and Sokoto South.

At around 11:01am to 11:47am the delagation met only Head master and two teachers out eleven teachers and no student at Maruda primary school.

Information Officer of the Board,Murtala Danladi Tsamaye said the story was the same at Galadiman Gari Model Primary School Durbawa where no students was available only Head master with five teachers out of twenty were met in the school.

At Model Primary School Gidan-Dare ,Salihu Anka,Marafa Danbaba , Sarkin Adar and Magajin Rafi Model Primary Schools, the delagation was dissatisfied with the unimpressive turn out of teachers and students.

While at Government Day Secondary School Durbawa and Government Day Secondary School Gidan Dare, the delagation has observed appreciable turn out of the teachers and students in the schools.

At Gagi Model Primary School, the delegation has met the school empty while Mana School for Basic Education, only five teachers were available in the school as at the time of the visit

In his remarks during the unscheduled visit, Director ECCD malam Bello Arkilla has issued a strong warning to the teachers who are on the habit of abdicating their responsibilities to be serious as laxity would not be condoned by the board

Part of the executive secretary entourage during the visit include Director Quality Assurance Malam Umar Muhammad Sanyinna , Director Junior Secondary Schools Malam Mukhtar, Deputy Director Social Mobilisation and Deputy Director Quality Assurance as well as some principal officers of the board
