The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo announced the holidays on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulating all Muslim faithful both at home and abroad. This announcement was detailed in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako.

Tunji-Ojo urged the Muslim community to continue embodying the spirit of peace, kindness, and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him). He also called for prayers for the unity, prosperity, and stability of the country during this period.
