Kaduna LP Women Leader assassinated

The Southern Kaduna Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate, Engr. Mike Auta has ordered a scrupulous investigation into the gruesome murder of Women leader of their party in Kaura local government Area.

Mrs. Victoria Chimtex, was reportedly shot-death by suspected assassins while her husband sustained gunshots injury when unknown gunmen broke into their house on Monday night without carting away anything.

In a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday, Auta condemned the killing, wondering what could make anyone to take the life of another human being.

He alleged that the killing was purely political, and charged security agencies to do a thorough investigation on the matter, so that justice could be served without fear or favor.

“We must learn to be civil and shun all forms of violent during and after campaigns. No life deserve to be taken under any guise.

“This primitive behavior must be dealt with decisively and should not be accepted in our decent society as a people of conscience and good moral values,” Auta said.

He explained that such evil act has shown the degree of rot in the polity, stressing something drastic must be done now to arrest the drift, “if not our the region would be heading for anarchy.

He sympathised with the family of the deceased, vowing that the law would catch up with the killers and justice would be served.
