COVID-19 vaccine has been made compulsory for people in Kaduna state. This was announced by the state acting Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
She disclosed the information while speaking at the Launching of COVID-19 Vaccination at Magajin Gari, Kaduna North Local Government.
Dr. Balarabe said the people of Kaduna state should ensure they go for the Vaccination.
She called on the traditional rulers and religious leaders to mobilize their followers with a view to ensuring the success of the Covid-19 vaccination in the state.
In her speech, the Kaduna state commissioner for health, Dr. Amina Baloni, who spoke on the importance of the vaccination, urged the entire people of Kaduna state to make themselves available for the vaccination.
Also in his speech, the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Health care Development Agency, Dr. Hamza Abubakar said the vaccination has already started in the state, and appealed to the people to comply so as to achieve the desired result.
He said the vaccination would be conducted in the primary healthcare centres, General hospitals, Churches, Mosques, Markets among others.
Speaking on behalf of the development partners, Adeola Olulonyo, said they would support the campaign to ensure that all residents have access to the vaccine.
