“The attention of the Sanga Community Development Association and Chairman Gwantu People progressive union Gwantu Traditional Council have being drawn to a scandalous statement been circulated in the media by a faceless or non existing group name, “Sanga Youths Initiative for peace and Development” rejecting the choice of Hadiza Balarabe as the running mate to Governor Nasir el-Rufai.

“Let me assure you, we have spoken to our youth groups and they have assured us that they are in full support of the choice of Dr. Hadiza Balarebe and that they will come out enmass to vote for her joint ticket come 2019 general elections”.

“We wish to clearly state that the Youths acted on their own capacity and did not represent the voice of the Sanga people.

“The statement cautioned the youths to desist from incurring the wrath of God and that of their ancestors by dragging the name of Sanga CAN, Etum Gwantu and other stakeholders who visited Governor el-Rufai in a thank you visit to mud.

“The group that visited the government House comprises of respected body and individuals whose reputation are unquestionable and will not betray the good people of our region.”

“According to the statement,” The Etum Gwantu and CAN are known by government, and have the responsibility to represent the interest of their followers which the so-called group are absolutely answerable to those representatives by religion or by tradition.

The Forum called on persons who have the flair for rapid development and competent representation in the state to do away with the sentiment being spread of the choice of Dr. Hadiza Balarebe base on religion, instead they should look at her antecedents and track records in all places she served in the public sector.

“I can bet you, the combination of His Excellency Mallam Nasir El’Rufai and Hadiza will no doubt bring about even and fair representation and distribution of meaningful programs and policies across our dear state, irrespective of tribe or religious differences.”

“Every opposition should exercise his/her right in 2019 during voting and not by making inciting and provocative words that will cause disharmony and hatred among the people”, they stated.
